Winstrol Only Cycle Review
Looking for detailed information about Winstrol only cycles? If so, which I assume you are given that you’ve found your way to this article, you’ve come to the right blog.
While the internet is inundated with information related to Winstrol (and all other anabolic steroids and PEDs for that matter), there seems to be a dearth of information pertaining to Stanozolol only cycles, i.e. taking this powerful oral cutting compound by itself without any other compounds ‘in the mix’. Therefore, we’ve decided to put together a concise – yet information-rich – article on using Stanozolol together to furnish you with all the information you need to decide whether or not this type of cycle is the right option for you and your physique and/or performance goals.
While you may read that oral only cycles aren’t worthwhile; in reality, this isn’t true – provided they are done correctly and followed up with a proper Post Cycle Therapy (PCT). So, without further ado, let’s take delve into Winstrol and how it can be used by itself.
An In-depth Look at Winstrol Only Cycles
Alongside Oxandrolone (Anavar), Stanozolol aka Winstrol is the most commonly used oral steroid for cutting, mainly used for maintaining or building muscle while simultaneously cutting body fat levels. But it doesn’t stop there. Winstrol is also a world-renowned strength booster and is often a favourite of lifters who need to increase strength without unnecessary body weight increases. The question is, can it be used but itself successfully? And if so, what can be expected? Let’s take a look.
I can only speak for my own experiences with this compound. Still, having known many others who have used it and had similar effects, it becomes clear that there are a wealth of people the world over who have made excellent progress while taking Stanozolol by itself. I know that if you search for anything related to taking an oral steroid by itself, you’ll be greeted by posts on bodybuilding and steroid-related forums telling you that oral only cycles are worthless and you won’t gain any muscle, lose fat or achieve what you’re seeking to; however, for the most part, all of this isn’t true – and is 99 times out of 100, written by people who have never taken on oral as a standalone; therefore, their opinion cannot be trusted. I, on the other hand, have taken oral steroids by themselves – including Winstrol.
What did I experience? In short, impressive strength gains, modest lean muscle mass gains and a small drop in body fat. The latter would have been higher, i.e. a larger decrease in body fat %, had I been truly cutting rather than recomping, but there was a positive shift in body fat nonetheless. Let’s take a look at the specific results I achieved and how my cycle was laid out.
It was around four years into using steroids that I decided to opt for a Stanozolol as a standalone compound. At that point, I’d built a solid physique that was never going to change dramatically regardless of which steroids I took, which diet I consumed and which style of training I opted for. However, Winstrol did have a profound effect on strength and caused a visible change in my physique.
Before I started my cycle, I weighed 231lbs at around 16% body fat. As mentioned above, the aim of the cycle was to increase lean muscle mass, drop a little body fat and get stronger. I decided on a six-week cycle, at a dose of 40mg per day or the first two weeks (to assess tolerance); 60mg per day for the next two weeks, and 80mg a day for the last two weeks.
After six weeks on Winstrol, my bodyweight had crept up to 235lbs, and my body fat had reduced by 1.5% to 14.5%, which may not seem like a lot (and in the grand scheme of things it isn’t), but the visible change was certainly noticeable – and that, after all, is what most of us are after. Concerning strength, this is where Stanozolol really shone. I knew it had a reputation of being a potent strength booster, but given that I was eating a calorie maintenance and was looking to drop body fat, I didn’t expect to gain as much strength as I did. I’d go as far to say that the strength gains were on par with any other powerful strength-inducing oral compound I’ve used, i.e. Anavar, Dianabol and Anadrol.
Hair loss is once concern most people have where Winstrol is concerned as it is renowned for causing shedding in those who are predisposed to Male Pattern Baldness. Am I prone to MPB? Yes. Did I experience any shedding? Yes, a little, as is the case on most steroids that have some degree of androgenicity. Therefore, if you’ve also experienced shedding from anabolic steroid usage or just in general if you’ve never used AAS before, it’s possible Stanozolol may cause hair loss. Drugs like finasteride and dutasteride can’t be used to stem the loss given that Winstrol is a DHT derivative and is, therefore, already 5-alpha reduced.
As for other side effects, my joints felt a little dry and cracked a touch more often, which is common when taking Stanozolol due to the lack of estrogen. This was particularly evident when I increased the dose to 80mg. My cholesterol levels were adversely affected to a small degree but soon returned to normal after PCT. I experienced no acne, water rendition, gynecomastia or increases in blood pressure. My libido did decrease slightly, which was probably due to the lack of estrogen, but everything ‘downstairs’ worked fine.
Winstrol Only Cycle Review
As you can probably tell from the fact I have practically waxed lyrical about Stanozolol throughout the course of this article, I am of the opinion that Winstrol, when used alone, is a very effective steroid that induces visible changes in physique and exceptional gains in strength and power. Aside from the shedding and minor joint pain/cracking, I tolerated it very well and would have no issue running the same cycle over again.
